Colonial Newel with Ball Top — 4×4

Decorative newel posts add a nice touch for curb appeal to your front porch or deck. They are used to carry the load of the railing sections. Cedar is a clear, kiln dried, solid product. Redwood and Hemlock are both a clear, kiln dried, finger joint, laminated product. Treated is a knotty, air dried after treatment, solid product. Mahogany construction is dependent upon what it available from the supplier. It is recommended to seal them prior to installation. We do recommend a stain blocker primer to keep the natural tenons from bleeding through.
